Red Boots

is a short, story-driven visual novel about a turbulent young adult romance between a biker boy and a delinquent girl.

Grounded, urban, and emotionally raw, the story blends mid-2000s aesthetics with a moody street atmosphere — think... Kingdom Hearts, The World Ends With You, nu metal energy, and early-2000s youth culture, so kinda emo.

Currently, I plan doing it as a 5-chapter story with three different endings, the main narrative is already written. The current demo serves as an introduction to the characters, tone, and emotional core of the project.

Visual & Narrative Approach

Coming from a comics and illustration background, the storytelling leans heavily on composition and illustrated panels. Key emotional moments are presented through strong visual framing, expressive character work, and atmospheric scenes rather than constant animation.

While fictional, the story draws inspiration from urban experiences and 2000s–2010s subcultures, particularly from a Latin American perspective. Players who grew up during that era may recognize its ethos and energy.

This game contains adult content (18+), and the characters are both 18+.

The focus is on emotional storytelling, character growth, and a grounded coming-of-age romance rather than explicit scenes.. They're a bonus, or just in key moments, really. If you're familiar with manga demographics, think along the lines of seinen or josei — character-driven stories with mature themes. The erotic elements exist to enhance the emotional tension, not replace it.
